Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh in Nepal
The Edinburghs will engage with organizations offering healthcare services and assistance to survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence.
KATHMANDU: The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, and his wife, Duchess Sophie, arrived in Nepal on Tuesday as part of their official visit to the country.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the distinguished guests were welcomed separately upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other senior ministry officials.
During their visit, the royal couple is scheduled to visit the British Embassy in Kathmandu, the National Botanical Garden in Godawari, the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), and Pokhara, among other locations.

Sophie, who marked her 60th birthday two weeks ago, and her husband, the King’s youngest brother, will also attend the Attestation Parade for new Gurkha recruits at the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara.
