Case registered against 15 including Rabi Lamichhane in Chitwan

KATHMANDU: A case has been filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on charges of embezzling funds from Sahara Chitwan Multipurpose Cooperative Limited.

The case was registered at Chitwan District Court on Tuesday, accusing Lamichhane, along with 15 individuals and six institutions, of fraud and organized crime.

According to Bishnu Prasad Acharya, the registrar of Chitwan District Court, the supplementary charge sheet was filed by the Chitwan District Government Attorney’s Office today.

Notably, Lamichhane was not named as a defendant in the initial case registered on Oct 8.
