Garima Bikas Bank & Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank launch 3D Secure ACS service
With the launch of this service, cardholders of both banks will be able to make online transactions more securely.
KATHMANDU: Garima Bikas Bank and Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank have partnered with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) to introduce the 3D Secure ACS service for e-commerce transactions via card, under NCHL’s EFT Services.
With the launch of this service, cardholders of both banks will be able to make online transactions more securely.
To use the service, cardholders must activate the feature on their cards once.
The 3D Secure ACS solution is considered a highly secure method for verification, ensuring additional safety during e-commerce transactions.
This initiative by the banks and NCHL aims to enhance the security of growing e-commerce activities while encouraging customers to engage more in online transactions.
NCHL, under its EFT services, also provides various card-related services to its member financial institutions, including card issuance, transaction acquiring, processing, settlement, e-commerce payment gateways, and card personalization.
NCHL is currently expanding its system to include transactions with NEPALPAY cards and is in the testing phase.
In addition to Garima and Mahalaxmi Bikas Banks, NCHL’s EFT services are also available to Citizens Bank, Global IME Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Machhapuchhre Bank, Prabhu Bank, Prime Commercial Bank, Siddhartha Bank, Jyoti Bikas Bank, Lumbini Bikas Bank, and Shangri-la Bikas Bank, among others.
