KATHMANDU: The third annual general meeting of the Nepal Tissue Industry Association, held on Thursday at Ageno Jhira Sekuwa Corner in Lokanthali, elected Yadav Ghimire as its new chair.
The meeting also formed a new executive committee with Ramhari Karki as vice chair, Bishnuprasad Bakhrel as secretary, and Shyamhari Luintel as treasurer.
The newly elected members of the committee include Premhari Mainali, Niranjan Ghimire, Rajesh Shrestha, Anil Pradhan, and Sunila Goyal Agarwal.
In his address, Chair Yadav Ghimire expressed his commitment to expanding membership and building a disciplined and organized association.
He also pledged to advocate for the removal of internal taxes imposed on raw materials for tissue paper production.
Chief guest Dharmendra Jha extended his best wishes for a successful term to the new committee.
He also urged the association to explore solutions for current challenges and work towards exporting Nepali tissue paper to international markets.
The meeting was chaired by outgoing Chair Manoj Manandhar, with guests Sushil Kumar Goshali and Indra Bahadur Karki in attendance.
