KATHMANDU: Three fortunate individuals have won iPhone 16s for sending money abroad via IME.
The winners are Gyanendra Prasad Gajurel from Romania, Raju Lopa Magar from Kuwait, and Thaneshwar Thapa Magar from Malaysia.
The lucky draw, held in Kathmandu today, was conducted by IME’s brand ambassador, Dipashree Niroula, who selected the winners from a pool of IME customers.
This prize is part of IME’s festive campaign, “IME Garau, Udyami Banau” (Send Money Through IME, Become an Entrepreneur), marking the first phase of the monthly rewards for the months of Ashoj, Kartik, and Mangsir.
The program, launched in Ashoj 2081 (September 2024), encourages people to send money through official remittance channels and invest in entrepreneurship with the remitted funds.
As part of the initiative, additional prizes will be awarded in the second phase of the campaign, running from Poush 2081 to Shrawan 2082 (December 2024 to July 2025). Three lucky winners in this phase will win a Dost Pick-up truck.
Customers who use IME to send money to wallets, bank accounts, or through IME counters are eligible for participation in the program.
IME’s CEO, Diwakar Paudel, emphasized that this initiative aims to encourage workers abroad and self-employed individuals to use formal channels for remittances, while also motivating them to invest the funds in entrepreneurial ventures.
Additionally, the program promotes the use of IME Pay for receiving money digitally.
