KATHMANDU: The sixth edition of the DAV Futsal Tournament has successfully concluded.

The three-day event wrapped up today, with DAV College emerging as the champions.

The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 300,000, along with a trophy and certificates.

Runners-up Omega College were awarded Rs 200,000, a trophy, and certificates.

Individual accolades went to:

  • Best Player: Bhargav Silwal (DAV College)
  • Best Goalkeeper: Rhythm Ale Magar (Omega College)
  • Top Scorer: Yogant Maharjan (Omega College)

Each awardee received Rs 15,000, a personal trophy, and a certificate.

Organized to promote discipline and nurture football talent among students, the tournament witnessed participation from 40 colleges.

DAV College Principal Suman Basnet highlighted it as the most financially significant futsal event.

The closing ceremony featured prominent guests, including Youth and Sports Minister Teju Lal Chaudhary as the chief guest and Kedia Foundation Chair Anil Kedia as the special guest.

Other dignitaries present were officials from National Sports Council, Nightingale College, Krishna Foundation, and various corporate sponsors.
