D.A.V. College to host sixth citywide futsal tournament
Rs 300,000 cash prize for winner.
KATHMANDU: D.A.V. College (+2) in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, is set to organize the sixth edition of its citywide futsal tournament, starting from Jan 29.
The event aims to foster discipline, friendship, and coexistence among students through sports.
According to the college’s Principal, Suman Basnet, the competition will take place on the college’s own futsal field.
This year’s tournament boasts the highest prize pool in the country, with the winning team receiving Rs 300,000 in cash, a trophy, and a certificate, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 200,000 in cash, a trophy, and a certificate.
Additionally, the tournament will recognize the top scorer, best goalkeeper, and best player, each of whom will receive Rs 15,000.
The prestigious competition will be limited to the first 40 teams from the Kathmandu Valley that register, ensuring an exciting and competitive environment.
