Prachanda to visit eastern hill districts of Tehrathum
Prachanda is scheduled to attend various party events in Tehrathum on Monday and Tuesday, according to his secretariat.
KATHMANDU: The chair of the main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ is set to visit the eastern hill district of Tehrathum.
After focusing his recent activities outside the Kathmandu Valley, Prachanda is scheduled to attend various party events in Tehrathum on Monday and Tuesday, according to his secretariat.
Along with Prachanda, Maoist Centre’s Deputy General Secretary, Barshaman Pun, will also travel to Tehrathum by military helicopter.
Prachanda will inaugurate the Martyr Dhanrupa Park in Lasing of Laligurans Municipality-7 today.
He will then lay the foundation stone for the Martyrs’ Memorial Park and the People’s War and Peace Museum in Aatharai Rural Municipality-3, where 18 Maoist combatants and 3 civilians were killed in a security crackdown on the same date in 2058 BS (2002 AD).
On Tuesday, Prachanda plans to meet with local workers and martyrs’ families, providing political training to party members before returning to Kathmandu.
