Fermín López added two goals, one in the 24th minute and another in first-half injury time, pushing Barcelona’s lead to an emphatic 5-0 at halftime.

Valencia’s Hugo Duro scored a consolation goal in the 59th minute, but Robert Lewandowski restored Barcelona’s dominance with a goal seven minutes later.

The seventh and final blow came in the 75th minute when Valencia’s Cezar Tarega scored an own goal.
