Western disturbance causes partial weather changes in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing a mild impact of the western disturbance, according to meteorologists.

The hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are witnessing partially cloudy weather.

Meanwhile, dense fog and mist have enveloped most parts of the Terai region, as reported by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The foggy conditions have significantly affected daily life in the Terai-Madhesh area.

However, the weather in other regions remains mostly clear. Despite the partial cloud cover in four provinces, the Weather Forecast Division has stated that there is no likelihood of rainfall today.

In its bulletin issued on Monday morning, the Division warned, “Fog and mist are likely to occur in many areas of the Terai and valleys during the morning hours, potentially impacting daily life, agriculture, health, transportation, and air travel. Necessary precautions are advised.”
