KATHMANDU: Three seriously injured in clashes over Pathibhara cable car construction brought to Kathmandu for treatment.

Four protesters and 20 security personnel were injured in the clashes.

Among them, Sagun Limbu, Yam Bahadur Limbu, and Dharman Palungwa Limbu are in critical condition.

The three were airlifted to Kathmandu via the Nepal Army helicopter on Sunday afternoon. They were admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, as reported by Saroj Limbu, a leader of the protesting group.

Yam Bahadur sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh, Sagun was shot in the back, and although both are conscious, their condition remains critical. Dharman’s right shoulder was broken.

The clash occurred on Saturday at Baludanda, one kilometer above Kaflepati in the Pathibhara area, where local residents and police faced off.

A cable car project is being constructed in the Pathibhara region, but local residents have been protesting, arguing that a cable car should not be built in a religious area.
