Man held for attempted robbery at NMB Bank

KATHMANDU: A 27-year-old man, Santosh Chaudhary, from Dudhahari, Tulsipur-18, was arrested late Saturday night for attempting to rob NMB Bank in Tulsipur, Dang.
According to the Area Police Office, Chaudhary broke into the bank, located in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-5, at around 2 AM after breaking the gate lock.
Acting swiftly on a tip-off, a team led by Police Inspector Binod Raj Khatri apprehended Chaudhary with burglary tools in his possession.
The police recovered items such as a hammer, chisel, and pliers used to break the lock.
Additionally, a scooter with registration number Ra 5 Pa 979, believed to be used in the crime, was also seized.
Chaudhary is currently in custody as further investigation into the incident is underway, authorities confirmed.
