Massive explosion at Maharashtra ordnance factory kills 8, injures 7

KATHMANDU: At least eight people lost their lives, and seven others sustained injuries in a massive explosion at an ordnance factory in Maharashtra, western India, according to local authorities.

The incident occurred in Bhandara district, approximately 830 kilometers east of Mumbai.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to bring the situation under control.

The explosion caused the factory roof to collapse, trapping workers inside.

Reports indicate that the blast was so powerful it could be heard within a 5-kilometer radius.
