Regional Ayurveda Hospital ensures treatment services even on holidays

KATHMANDU: The Regional Ayurveda Hospital in Dhangadhi has been offering uninterrupted medical services to patients even on holidays, including Saturdays.
According to Dr. Ramkameshwar Thakur, the Medical Superintendent and Pediatric Specialist of the hospital, the decision to operate on holidays stems from the need to ensure continuous treatment for patients.
“For some conditions, breaks in treatment can lead to complications, such as infections or delayed recovery, causing discomfort and challenges in the treatment process,” he explained.
Additionally, Dr. Thakur highlighted that many patients travel long distances for treatment and face challenges returning home due to holidays. To accommodate their needs, the hospital ensures services remain available on all days.
The hospital currently offers a wide range of treatments, including homeopathy, pathology, lab services, X-rays, Purva Karma, Panchakarma, Shirodhara, and advanced procedures for piles, fissures, and fistulas.
Dr. Thakur also expressed his commitment to improving the overall Ayurveda sector in the Sudurpaschim Province, which he believes lags behind compared to other provinces. “This hospital is just the beginning of my efforts to uplift Ayurveda in the region,” he said.
The Sudurpaschim Province currently has one Regional Ayurveda Hospital, seven District Ayurveda Health Centers, one Zonal Ayurveda Center, 42 Ayurveda Dispensaries, and 33 Public Health Service Centers.
Dr. Thakur has urged the public to utilize the hospital’s services even on holidays for uninterrupted treatment and better health outcomes.
