‘Aktor: Take One’ to release globally on Jan 29

KATHMANDU: The eagerly awaited Nepali movie ‘Aktor: Take One’ is set to release on Jan 29, not only in Nepal but also in various countries with Nepali communities.

The trailer, which was released last week, has alr
eady generated widespread discussion and popularity. Following this success, the film’s international distribution rights are being sold rapidly. The rights for the U.S. have been acquired by Levants Studios and Project Urja, while Astra Events has secured the rights for Canada.
Across Europe, ‘Aktor: Take One’ will be released by Kya Dami Events, led by Nima Bhusal, in collaboration with iPoppers. In Australia and New Zealand, Girish Event and Entertainment, alongside Issa Bhive Events, will handle the release. In Japan, Sachin Acharya will coordinate the release with several partner companies.
Pradeep Khadka, one of the film’s lead actors, will travel to the U.S. and Japan for promotional activities after its Nepal release.
Additionally, the Middle Eastern countries are preparing for the film’s release, according to producer Thaman Kumar Bhattarai.
Meanwhile, the film’s trailer has broken records in the Nepali film industry, reaching over 3 million views on YouTube within just five days—making it the fastest to reach that milestone for any Nepali movie trailer.
Audiences have responded positively to the movie’s plot, presentation, and performances of the lead actors. There is a strong belief that the film will elevate Nepali cinema in international markets.
Directed by Rajan Bhusal, the film stars Pradeep Khadka, Ana Sharma, Divya Raemaji, Rajballabh Koirala, Divya Dev, Srijana Adhikari, Usha Rajak, and Sushil Sitaula.
The screenplay was penned by Akash Baral and Rajan Bhusal. A joint production of Adhrut Films and A Moty Films, the movie is produced by Thaman Kumar Bhattarai, with Moty Karki as the creative producer and Anish Bhusal as the co-producer.
