KATHMANDU: The extreme cold and cold wave that have been affecting Janakpurdham and the Madhesh region for the past three days have disrupted daily life.

Although the sun appeared on Monday afternoon, the sudden cold winds on Tuesday night have made the cold more intense in Madhesh.

The sun has not been seen for the past three days.

The cold wave and snowfall continue, and the lack of sunshine has brought rural life to a standstill.

Daily wage earners and laborers are severely affected by the cold.

In Madhes, life has been paralyzed until 10 AM. The poor and vulnerable are facing significant difficulties due to the cold.

Locals are trying to stay warm by using fires, and people in rural areas are burning straw to escape the chill.

In Janakpurdham, the minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 11°C, with a maximum of 21°C.

The ongoing cold wave and chilly winds are expected to persist for a few more days.
