Ex-secretary to Accounts Committee Chair granted bail

KATHMANDU: Anil Kumar Pokharel, the former private secretary to Rishikesh Pokharel, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, has been ordered to be released on bail of Rs. 500,000.

The decision was made by Judge Chitra Bahadur Gurung at the Morang District Court.

A fraud case was filed against Pokharel on Wednesday.

Following his statement and a detention hearing on Thursday, the court granted the order for his release on bail.
