KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank successfully concluded the award ceremony for its “Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Bijichitra Photography Competition – Edition 2” on Thursday in Durbaar Marg, Kathmandu.

The contest was organized to celebrate World Photography Day, observed on Aug 19.

In a vibrant event held in Kathmandu, the winners were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes. Subash Shrestha secured first place, winning Rs 20,000.

Saurav Bajracharya came second, receiving Rs 15,000, while Paras Raj Bajracharya claimed third place with Rs 10,000.

Additionally, the Public Choice Award went to Ghanashyam Shrestha, who garnered the highest public votes and received Rs 5,000 along with a certificate.

The event also recognized the top 15 photographers, presenting them with certificates of excellence.

The competition invited photographers to submit images highlighting local small and medium enterprises.

The entries reflected vibrant stories of entrepreneurial spirit and contributed positive messages about local businesses.

A panel of three judges evaluated the submissions, selecting 15 outstanding photographs. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank expressed confidence that such initiatives promote local businesses, entrepreneurship, and the preservation of local art and culture.

The bank also recently launched an upgraded version of its mobile application, “Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi,” in line with its commitment to offering advanced, secure, and convenient digital banking services to customers.
