APF Club advances to final with victory in PM Cup T20 Women’s Cricket

KATHMANDU: APF Club secured a commanding 10-wicket win over Bagmati Province in the first Super Four match of the PM Cup T20 Women’s National Cricket Tournament held at Fapla Ground, Dhangadhi.

Chasing a modest target of 43 runs, APF reached the goal in just 6.5 overs without losing a wicket.

Mamata Chaudhary remained unbeaten on 23 runs, while Rajmati Airee contributed 14 not out.

Earlier, Bagmati struggled after losing the toss and being put to bat, managing only 42 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 18 overs. None of Bagmati’s batters could reach double digits.

APF’s bowlers dominated the game, with Suman Bista taking three wickets, while Rekha Rawal and Binu Budha claimed two each.

Suman was also named Player of the Match for her exceptional performance.

The tournament, which began on Jan 14 and will conclude on 25, is organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) under the National Sports Council program, with management by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association.

The champions will receive Rs 500,000, while the runners-up will take home Rs 300,000.

Awards of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 each for Player of the Series, Best Batter, and Best Bowler have also been announced.
