Schools in Nepalgunj shut for 3 days due to severe cold

KATHMANDU: Schools in Nepalgunj will remain closed for three days, from today until Jan 24, due to severe cold conditions, according to Gorkha Bahadur Thapa, Head of the Education, Youth, and Sports Division at Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City.

The decision was made in response to the ongoing cold wave, which has made it challenging to conduct classes.

The missed school days will be compensated during the monsoon holidays.

Thapa also noted that parents had informally urged schools and local authorities to declare a holiday considering the harsh weather.
