KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, aligning with its institutional social responsibility (CSR) policies, has successfully conducted various programs across diverse sectors.

As part of its CSR activities, the bank’s Palung branch distributed polar jackets to 55 underprivileged students from Shree Kalidevi Primary School in Deurali, Thaha Municipality-11, Makwanpur.

Among the 83 students at the school, those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds were prioritized.

The distribution event, held on Jan 11, aimed to address the lack of warm clothing during the winter season, which has been affecting the students’ health and academic performance.

In another impactful initiative, the bank collaborated with Sarvodaya Project, a non-governmental organization, to support the program “Sensation Unseen: Hidden Gems.” This event showcased the extraordinary talents of visually impaired artists, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and creativity. The bank provided financial assistance for the program, which highlighted the potential of differently-abled individuals and fostered their representation in society.

The bank believes these initiatives contribute significantly to building an inclusive society while empowering individuals with disabilities to demonstrate their talents. It also underscores its commitment to fostering overall socio-economic development through such CSR activities.

Additionally, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has recently enhanced its digital banking services by introducing the upgraded Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi mobile application, offering customers a modern, secure, and user-friendly banking experience.
