KATHMANDU: The trailer of the Nepali movie Aktor: Take One has been officially released during a special event in Kathmandu on Friday.

The movie is set to hit theaters nationwide on Jan 29 (Magh 16).

Directed by Rajan Bhusal, the trailer teases a triangular love story intertwined with conflicts among ambitious characters.

The trailer highlights compelling dynamics and power struggles, featuring Pradeep Khadka, Anna Sharma, Divya Rayamajhi, and Raj Ballav Koirala in lead roles.

Pradeep Khadka portrays an ambitious character overcoming various hurdles to achieve his goals.

Meanwhile, Raj Ballav Koirala takes on a gray character, adding layers of conspiracy and tension to the narrative. The trailer also hints at suspense with Nischal Basnet’s intriguing entry.

The film marks Rajan Bhusal’s directorial debut and Raj Ballav Koirala’s return to the big screen after a decade.

Additionally, Divya Rayamajhi, daughter of veteran actor Dilip Rayamajhi, makes her acting debut in this project after returning to Nepal from the U.S.

Actor: Take One is a joint production of Adrit Films and Moti Films.

Aakash Baral and Rajan Bhusal co-wrote the script. Thaman Kumar Bhandari produced the movie, which lists Anish Bhusal as the co-producer and Moti Karki as the creative producer.

Cinematography is handled by Narendra Mainali, editing by Nimesh Shrestha, and music contributions from Hercules Basnet, Rohit Shakya, and Alish Karki. Action sequences are directed by Astha Maharjan, while Krishna Man Tamang oversees art direction. Choreography is by Shishir Khati and Kiran Thapa, with post-production supervision by Sahil Khan.

The film is distributed by Apple Entertainment and DCN, with expectations of introducing fresh storytelling and visual appeal to Nepali cinema.
