KATHMANDU: The Nepal U-19 women’s cricket team is set to make history as they play their first-ever match in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup today against Bangladesh in Malaysia.

The tournament’s opening game will see Australia face Scotland at 8:15 AM, while Nepal begins their campaign against Bangladesh at 12:15 PM.

Nepal will play Scotland on Monday in the group stage and Australia on Jan 22.

The tournament features 16 teams divided into four groups:

  • Group A: India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, West Indies
  • Group B: England, Ireland, Pakistan, USA
  • Group C: New Zealand, Nigeria, Samoa, South Africa
  • Group D: Nepal, Australia, Bangladesh, Scotland

The final of the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled for Feb 2.
