Madhesh Province to light 100,000 lamps in honor of martyrs
The grand lamp-lighting ceremony will take place at the Janaki Temple.
KATHMANDU: The Madhesh Province government is set to illuminate 100,000 lamps on Saturday evening in remembrance of martyrs.
Addressing a press conference in Janakpur on Friday, the Minister for Home, Communications, and Law, Rajkumar Lekhi, shared details of the event.
The grand lamp-lighting ceremony will take place at the Janaki Temple.
The provincial government also organized various interactive programs on Friday to honor the martyrs.
Minister Lekhi emphasized that the government is undertaking constructive initiatives for the welfare of martyrs’ families, proper management of injured individuals, and the systematic establishment of a Martyrs’ Institute.
Additionally, the province will host a felicitation program to honor martyrs, inviting their families to pay tribute and express gratitude for their sacrifices.
