Karna Thapa calls meeting with Bhim Rawal on plane a mere coincidence
This morning, both Thapa and Rawal were seated next to each other on a Shree Airlines flight to Dhangadhi.
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Standing Committee Member Karna Thapa has clarified that his encounter with Dr. Bhim Rawal on a flight was purely coincidental.
This morning, both Thapa and Rawal were seated next to each other on a Shree Airlines flight to Dhangadhi.
Thapa stated he was traveling to Bajura for the upcoming local convention of the CPN-UML, while Rawal was heading to his home district Achham for party organization activities.
Thapa expressed concern over misleading news reports about their meeting.
He emphasized that interpreting this encounter with a political lens is unwarranted.
Addressing the incident, Thapa said, “During my trip to Dhangadhi for the CPN-UML local convention in Bajura, I met Dr. Bhim Rawal in the VIP lounge of the airport. By coincidence, our seats on the flight were next to each other. A fellow passenger took a photo and posted it on social media, which was later used to publish misleading news by Rato Party Online. I want to clarify that this meeting was a coincidence. Viewing it politically is incorrect. While we shared a long journey in the same party in the past, we are now walking separate paths. I urge everyone not to fall for any false narratives or spread confusion.”
Thapa called for restraint and requested the public not to misinterpret the situation.
