Karna Thapa’s Dhangadhi visit with Bhim Rawal: Coincidence or strategy?
Thapa, on the other hand, had opposed disciplinary action against Rawal.
KATHMANDU: Former UML Vice-Chair Bhim Rawal, who was expelled from the party, and UML Standing Committee member Karn Thapa were spotted traveling together to Dhangadhi.
The two leaders arrived on Friday morning, sharing a seat on a Shree Airlines flight.
Rawal, now campaigning for a new party after his expulsion, has been at odds with the UML leadership.
Thapa, on the other hand, had opposed disciplinary action against Rawal.
Their joint journey has sparked significant speculation about its implications for UML’s internal political dynamics, though some have dismissed it as mere coincidence.
Supporters of Rawal welcomed him at the Dhangadhi airport, marking his first visit to his home province of Sudurpaschim after being expelled from the party.
Thapa, meanwhile, departed the airport in an official vehicle, maintaining a separate course.
