KATHMANDU: The much-anticipated Nepali movie Hostel 3 is slated for release on March 7.
Ahead of its release, the song “Tik Tik Tik” was unveiled on Friday, featuring captivating dance performances by the film’s lead cast.
The song, penned, composed, and sung by Almoda Rana Uprety, also includes rap vocals by Almoda and Santosh Rana.
With lyrics like “Tik Tik Tik, jaane samaya sanga sik saathi, thik thik thik, ek din hunchha sabai thik” (Tik Tik Tik, learn with time, my friend; everything will be fine one day), the song captures the highs and lows of college life. It celebrates the bonds of friendship formed through diverse backgrounds, evoking nostalgia for one’s college days.
The song features the main actors Paras Bam (Cool Boy), Rhyaan Giri, Aashish Ghimire, Padam Tamang, and actresses Simran Pant, Hena Nagarkoti, and Sama Parajuli. Choreographed by Pravin Singh, the song is trending on TikTok and Reels while receiving an enthusiastic response on YouTube.
About the movie
Hostel 3 is the third installment of Nepal’s popular Hostel film series. Directed by Sushan Kandel, the movie is scripted by Madhav Sharma with the story by Kandel himself. It delves into the struggles, friendships, and fun moments of campus life.
The ensemble cast includes notable actors like Umar Khan, Santosh Baniya, Rohan Shrestha, and Ashish Purosh.
The film is produced under the banner of Samman Entertainment in collaboration with Aaran Con Films. Producers include Suresh Kandel, Karna Karki, and Govinda Adhikari, with Shankar Koirala serving as the executive producer. Co-producers are Shishir Gyawali, Kundan Gupta, and Anish Sigdel, while Kosishraj Kshetri is the line producer.
Technical team
The movie boasts a talented technical team. Arjun Tiwari is the Director of Photography, while Buddha Thapa and Manoj Khatri handle cinematography. Sudip Kunwar serves as the chief assistant director, with Yam Prasad Oli as the production designer.
The music team includes Arjun Pokharel, Almoda Rana Uprety, Mahesh Gyawali, and Kiran Michael. The editing is done by Bikas Dahal, with choreography by Pravin Singh and Roshan Bishwakarma, action direction by Himal KC, and poster design by Rakesh Dahal.
Global release plans
Hostel 3 will also be screened internationally on the same day as its Nepal release. Distribution rights in Nepal are managed by RR Films and Kaffiya Films.
