Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi files complaint alleging misconduct

KATHMANDU: Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi has filed a complaint at the Kathmandu District Police Office, alleging misconduct against him.

Tripathi registered the complaint under charges of attempted murder and criminal disturbance.

The incident occurred on Wednesday after Tripathi represented victims of a cooperative fraud case.

He was allegedly attacked following his demand to remand Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), in custody during a hearing on the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative embezzlement case.

The attackers, reportedly a group of youths, accused Tripathi of being responsible for Lamichhane’s potential detention.

Police have detained one suspect in connection with the attack and are investigating further.
