KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Club has clinched the title of the Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup after defeating Tribhuvan Army Club in the final. Set a target of 103 runs, the Army team was bowled out for just 74 runs.

Sagarmal Dhakal and Lalit Rajwansi delivered impressive bowling performances for the Police Club, with Dhakal taking 6 wickets and Rajwansi claiming 4 wickets.

For the Army, Imran Sheikh top-scored with 28 runs, while captain Binod Bhandari and Sompal Kami both contributed 11 runs.

Other players from the Army failed to reach double figures.

The inaugural edition of the tournament featured the top 4 men’s cricket teams from Nepal, including Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Madhesh Province, and Bagmati Province.
