Aashika Tamang remanded in custody for 5-days

KATHMANDU: Aashika Tamang, who was arrested on charges of misconduct on Wednesday, has been granted a five-day detention for investigation by the District Administration Office of Kathmandu.

The police station in Gaushala has been authorized to hold Tamang in custody for the investigation.

Tamang has recently attracted significant attention for her self-proclaimed role as a social reformer, but her actions have now landed her in legal trouble.

A viral video circulating on social media shows Tamang verbally abusing a female police officer at the Pashupati Temple premises.

Known for creating and sharing videos of her so-called investigations at various locations, her behavior has sparked widespread criticism.
