KATHMANDU: The Nepali movie Anjila, set to release on March 13, has unveiled its lively song Dalle Dalle Khursani.
The song, penned and composed by Rajan Raj Shiwakoti, features the voices of Siwakoti and Melina Rai.
With original Nepali lyrics, the track captures the essence of cultural authenticity.
The music video, choreographed by Kabiraj Gahatraj and filmed by Ram Kumar KC, showcases the dance of actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar.
According to director Milan Chams, the song was designed to amplify the movie’s promotional reach.
The film narrates the inspiring journey of Anjila Tumbapo Subba, captain and goalkeeper of Nepal’s national women’s football team.
Highlighting her struggles and triumphs from childhood to professional success, the movie delivers a message of resilience and determination.
Anjila herself stars in the lead role, alongside seasoned actors such as Sunil Thapa, Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Srijana Subba, Maotse Gurung, and Buddhi Tamang. Producer Prem Kumar Shrestha also plays a significant role in the movie.
Anjila had its grand world premiere on Dec 8, in Hong Kong, receiving rave reviews from the audience.
The film will be released internationally in the UK, USA, Australia, and Japan ahead of its Nepal debut.
Shot in Anjila’s hometown of Aitabare, Ilam, as well as Jhapa and Kathmandu, the cinematography was handled by Sudeep Baral, with editing by Milan Shrestha.
Produced under the Moon Love Entertainment banner, the movie is helmed by Prem Kumar Shrestha, with Tubendra Limbu, Binod Agrawal, and Rajesh Bagdia as co-producers. Binod Subedi Khatri served as the production controller.
