NOC increases fuel prices

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has implemented a price hike on petrol, diesel, and kerosene.

The corporation raised the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices increased by Rs 3 per liter each.

Following the adjustment, the price of petrol in the Kathmandu Valley now stands at Rs 165 per liter, while diesel and kerosene are priced at Rs 156 per liter.

According to a press release issued by NOC, the price hike was necessitated by an increase in the purchase price from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on Wednesday afternoon.

The purchase price of petrol rose by Rs 2.24 per liter, and diesel increased by Rs 3.55 per liter.

With the revised rates, petrol prices are categorized into three slabs: Rs 162.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 164 in the second, and Rs 165 in the third.

Similarly, diesel and kerosene are priced at Rs 153.50, Rs 155, and Rs 156 per liter for the first, second, and third categories, respectively.
