‘Laaj Sharam’ team brings special ‘Star Scheme’ offer

KATHMANDU: The much-anticipated Nepali movie Laaj Sharam has announced an exciting and creative initiative to engage its audience.
Dubbed the “Star Scheme Opportunity,” the film’s team has launched a video competition that allows fans to showcase their talents and be a part of the film’s journey.
How to Participate
According to the production team, participants can choose from five categories: Lokpop, modern songs, poetry, rap, caricature, or speech.
They must create a video of up to two minutes and submit it via email to [email protected].
Submitted videos will be uploaded to the official TikTok account of Laaj Sharanam, where the best entries will be selected based on views and shares.
The winners will receive attractive prizes.
The competition runs from Jan 14 to 28, closing at midnight.
Building Anticipation
Laaj Sharanam recently garnered attention with the release of three posters, offering a glimpse into its storyline.
These teasers have fueled excitement for the film’s upcoming teaser and trailer, making it one of the most awaited films of the year.
Scheduled for release on February 26, 2025, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri, the film promises both entertainment and a powerful social message.

Directed by Kumar Kattel, also known as “Jigri Bro,” Laaj Sharam features a stellar cast including Vijay Baral, Mahesh Tripathi, Arpan Thapa, Renu Yogi, Vijay Lama, Mukunda Shrestha, Mala Limbu, Arjun Ghimire, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niraula, and Priyana Acharya.
Produced under the banner of JPT Creation, the movie brings together many familiar faces from the popular Sakkigoni team.
Navin Shrestha serves as the producer, with Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka as co-producers. Sudip Baral has helmed the film’s cinematography.
