Muktinath Bikas Bank holds 18th AGM

KATHMANDU: Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd. held its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Pokhara on Jan 13.
The meeting, chaired by the bank’s Board Chair, Mr. Bharatraj Dhakal, approved the annual report for the fiscal year 2080/081.
A proposal to issue 8.5% non-redeemable cumulative preference shares worth Rs 1 billion at a rate of Rs 100 per share, subject to regulatory approval, was also passed.
The AGM also approved the appointment of auditors for the fiscal year 2081/082, along with other routine proposals. During the event, the bank honored the first 30 founding shareholders who initiated the establishment of the bank, as well as other key founding shareholders and board members for their exceptional contributions to the bank’s growth.
A special proposal to relocate the bank’s central office from Kamaladi, Kathmandu to a newly constructed building in Lazimpat, Kathmandu was unanimously approved.
The formal session began with an address from Chair Mr. Bharatraj Dhakal. Mr. Bharat Prasad Lamsal, a board member, welcomed the attendees, while CEO Mr. Pradyuman Pokharel shared insights on the bank’s current status and future strategic plans.
The AGM also included a discussion on the annual report for fiscal year 2080/081, where shareholders raised questions and suggestions.
