Manchester City couldn’t maintain lead, Liverpool held draw with Nottingham Forest

KATHMANDU: Manchester City failed to maintain a 2-0 lead, drawing 2-2 with Brentford in the English Premier League on Tuesday.
Brentford scored twice in the final 10 minutes to cancel out City’s advantage. Phil Foden scored both goals for City, first in the 66th minute and again in the 78th minute.

In another match, league leaders Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest.
The second-placed team, Nottingham Forest, managed to secure a point against Liverpool after taking the lead.
Chris Wood gave Nottingham Forest the lead in the 8th minute, but Liverpool’s Diogo Jota equalized in the 66th minute.
As a result, Liverpool maintains a six-point lead at the top of the table, with 47 points, while Nottingham Forest has 41 points.
Manchester City is in sixth place with 35 points, and Brentford is in 10th with 28 points.
In other Premier League action, Chelsea and Bournemouth played out a 2-2 draw, while West Ham defeated Fulham 3-2.
Chelsea, in fourth place, has 37 points, and Bournemouth is in seventh with 34 points.
