Man held for killing wife in Dadeldhura

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 32-year-old Dambar Bahadur Thapa Magar of Amargadhi Municipality-3, Pathroda, on charges of murdering his 24-year-old wife, Asmita Thapa Magar.

The incident occurred following a domestic dispute when Dambar Bahadur reportedly shot Asmita with a single-barrel muzzleloader gun in their front yard.

Asmita died instantly at the scene.

Upon receiving the report, a team from the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, and Bagbazar Police Post apprehended the accused along with the weapon used in the crime.

Police have launched a detailed investigation into the case.
