Machhapuchchhre Bank concludes 26th AGM
The meeting approved the bank’s annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81.
KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited successfully conducted its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, Jan 12, at Hotel Pokhara Grande, Pokhara.

During the AGM, Mr. Jai Mukund Khanal, Ms. Manisha Bhandari, and Mr. Sunil Narayan Shrestha were unanimously elected as members of the Board of Directors.
The meeting commenced with a welcome speech by Director Mr. Jai Mukund Khanal, followed by a proposal from Director Mr. Mukund Mahat to reappoint G.P. Rajbahak & Company as the bank’s external auditor, which was unanimously approved.
In his address, Bank Chairman Mr. Roshan KC emphasized the institution’s commitment to adopting new technologies to minimize emerging challenges and provide secure services to customers.
He highlighted the bank’s focus on contributing to the country’s economic stability by balancing deposit mobilization and loan investment, improving credit quality, and prioritizing sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Santosh Koirala underscored the bank’s emphasis on sustainable banking over mere profitability. He reiterated the bank’s dedication to delivering international-standard services tailored to customer needs.
The AGM saw active participation from the bank’s founders and general shareholders, including former Minister of Forests and Environment Dr. Birendra Mahato and social worker Ms. Premkumari KC.
The meeting concluded with substantial contributions and engagement from shareholders, reflecting the collective vision of strengthening the bank’s future.
