Woman killed in tiger attack

KATHMANDU: A woman lost her life in a tiger attack in Bardiya National Park. According to the park authorities, the victim has been identified as 50-year-old Padmakala Thapa, a resident of Thakurbaba Municipality-7.

The incident occurred in the Bakuwa Community Forest of Thakurbaba Municipality-6 while she was grazing cattle.

Chief Conservation Officer Ashok Kumar Ram confirmed the attack, expressing concerns over the rising human-wildlife conflict in the area.

Efforts are underway to manage the situation and ensure public safety, as similar incidents have raised alarm among local residents.
