Nepali woman dies in road accident in Malta

KATHMANDU: A 25-year-old Nepali woman, Gaurikumari Baral, has tragically died following a road accident in Malta.

Originally from Bardibas Municipality-3, Mahottari, Baral succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment, according to Remlal Khanal, President of NRNA Malta.

The accident occurred on Jan 5, leaving Baral critically injured.

Despite medical efforts, she passed away on Saturday morning, Khanal confirmed.

In coordination with her family, NRNA Malta is facilitating the repatriation of her body to Nepal.

Baral had moved to Malta in December 2022 for employment opportunities.
