KATHMANDU: President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, Rabi Lamichhane, has departed for Kathmandu from Pokhara via land route.

He left in his personal vehicle earlier today.

Lamichhane is scheduled to appear at the Kathmandu District Court today.

This follows the Kaski District Court’s decision on Thursday to release him on bail of Rs 6.5 million.

Lamichhane, who was arrested from the party’s central office in Baneshwor on Oct 18, was released after 84 days in custody.

He faces allegations of misusing savings from Swarnalaxmi Cooperative in Kalimati, Kathmandu.

After a case was filed against him at the Kathmandu District Court, Lamichhane is set to present himself before the court today.
