Suryadarshan Cooperative scam: Rabi Lamichhane pays 6.5 million bail

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), involved in the Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Cooperative scam, has provided bail.

On Thursday, the Kaski District Court, under Judge Nitij Rai, ordered bail for Lamichhane and six others in custody.

Lamichhane, along with Chhabilal Joshi and Rambahadur Khanal, submitted bail through bank guarantees.

Lamichhane’s bail was set at 6.5 million, Joshi at 8.8 million, and Khanal at 1.5 million.

Following the court order, the three individuals have been released after submitting the required bail.
