The Army team defeated another departmental rival, Nepal Police Club, in a thrilling 3–2 set victory on Thursday.

The Army clinched the title with scores of 18–25, 25–18, 20–25, 25–22, and 15–7.

Nepal Police dominated the first set, capitalizing on the excellent performances of Rabin Chand, Pahal Gahatraj, and Rabin Nagarkoti, which restricted the Army team from playing freely.

However, the Army made a strong comeback in the second set, with Durga Mahato, Dhanapati Kuwar, and Dhan Bahadur Bhatta delivering exceptional performances to level the score at 1–1.

Police regained the lead by winning the third set, putting them one set away from securing the championship. But the Army fought back in the fourth set, forcing the match into a decisive final set.

In the deciding set, Police struggled from the start, losing points consecutively.

The Army team successfully blocked every shot from Rabin, Pahal, and Rabin, and comfortably won the set to secure the championship.

The Army team received a cash prize of Rs 7 lakh along with the trophy.

Nepal Police Club earned Rs 3.5 lakh, and Manimukunda Club took home Rs 1.75 lakh.
