KATHMANDU: Bagmati Province captain Sandeep Lamichhane has set two new records in the ongoing Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup.
In his second match in Janakpur, Sandeep broke the record for most runs conceded in a single innings.
During the game against Tribhuvan Army, Sandeep bowled 22 overs, taking 2 wickets while conceding 103 runs.
He surpassed his own previous record, set in the match against Madhesh Province, where he gave away 88 runs in 17 overs while claiming 5 wickets.
Additionally, Sandeep set a record for the most overs bowled in a single innings.
The previous record was held by Lalitnarayan Rajbanshi of Nepal Police, who bowled 20 overs against the Army.
Sandeep exceeded that by bowling 22 overs in this match.
In the first innings, the Army posted 276 runs for 5 wickets after playing the full 60 overs against Bagmati.
