Dense fog disrupts traffic on East-West Highway

KATHMANDU: The East-West Highway, specifically the Butwal-Narayanghat road, has been blocked due to heavy fog.

According to District Police Office’s information officer, Resham Bohara, the road became slippery due to the fog at Khursani Khola in Bardghat Municipality-4, Western Nawalparasi, causing the highway to be obstructed.

No vehicles are able to pass due to the slippery road conditions.

Dense fog has persisted in Western Nawalparasi and Daunne since yesterday.

The road has been completely blocked since 2:00 AM today, Bohara reported.

Efforts are ongoing to clear the road.
