Police assistant sub-inspector dies on duty in Doti
According to the Doti District Police Office, ASI Pali collapsed during duty after experiencing sudden chest pain early Wednesday morning.
KATHMANDU: A police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) stationed at the Area Police Office in Bipinagar, Doti, has passed away while on duty.
The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Bahadur Singh Pali from Bageshwar Rural Municipality-5, Rupal, Dadeldhura.
According to the Doti District Police Office, ASI Pali collapsed during duty after experiencing sudden chest pain early Wednesday morning.
He was immediately taken to the Bipinagar Polyclinic for initial treatment.
Later, he was referred to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi at around 4 AM for further care.
Despite efforts, the hospital declared him dead at approximately 6:45 AM, informed Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma.
ASI Pali was on duty from 3 AM to 6 AM when the incident occurred.
He is survived by his wife and a 15-year-old daughter.
