Earthquake: Major damage to Thame Post in Solukhumbu

KATHMANDU: An earthquake has caused damage to the Thame Post, located under the Sagarmatha National Park in Solukhumbu.

The post, situated in Ward No. 5 of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality, was hit by an earthquake early this morning.

The one-story building sustained damage to the door frame on the left and right sides, as well as cracks in two areas at the back and around the windows, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarikaprasad Ghimire from the District Police Office.

A police team from the Thambuche Police Station has been deployed to assess the situation.
