KATHMANDU: A man from Syuchatar, Ward 10 of Nagarjun Municipality, Kathmandu, jumped off the roof of his house in panic during this morning’s earthquake.

He sustained injuries to both legs and is currently receiving treatment at Manmohan Memorial Hospital.

Meanwhile, structural damage has been reported in various districts:

  • A police station building in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-4, Sindhupalchowk, has developed cracks.
  • In Ramechhap, a cattle shed was damaged.
  • Several houses in Okhaldhunga and Solukhumbu districts also suffered damages.

In Bara district, the earthquake caused panic among students, leaving 11 unconscious.

The incident occurred at Tri-Chandra Secondary School in Devkota, Ward 1 of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City, affecting students from grades 7 and 8.

Authorities confirmed they are receiving medical attention.
