Blankets distributed to patients at province hospital

KATHMANDU: Lahan municipality of Siraha district distributed blankets to the patients receiving treatment at Uma Prasad Memorial Province Hospital, Lahan.

Municipality mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary handed over 65 sets of blankets to the patients to avoid a cold.

He informed that the temperature was decreasing day by day, hitting hard on the poor and marginalized people.

“The warm clothes would help patients stay away from cold,” he said, adding that the Terai districts have been facing cold wave in recent days.

Dr Bijendra Kumar Yadav informed that the blanket distribution was succour for those facing chill. It is also a relief to the hospital, he added.

There are 65 beds in the hospital.
