17-year-old girl allegedly raped in Kailali; suspect arrested

KATHMANDU: A 27-year-old man, identified as Ashok, also known as Hariram Chaudhary, from Banbeheda, Gauriganga Municipality-6, Kailali, was arrested on Sunday evening by the police on charges of raping an 18-year-old girl.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim, who accused the suspect of sexual assault.

The police, acting on the complaint, detained Hariram after investigation by the Kailali District Police Office.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
