Indian Coast Guard chopper crashes in Gujarat, 3 crew members dead

KATHMANDU: A helicopter of the Indian Coast Guard crashed in Gujarat’s Porbandar district, resulting in the deaths of all three personnel aboard, according to the police.

The accident occurred during a routine training session at Porbandar Airport due to a technical malfunction of the Advanced Light Helicopter.

After the crash, the helicopter caught fire, and the three crew members, including two pilots, were immediately rushed to a hospital with severe burns.

Unfortunately, all three members of the crew succumbed to their injuries.

The incident took place at 12:10 PM on Sunday.

Authorities from the Indian police and Coast Guard have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
